One pair of dressier shoes for evening is a good idea, as well as a pair of flip-flops for beach days. If you will be doing a lot of hiking, you might want to include a pair of hiking boots.
Other Essentials
Sunscreen, a good pair of polarized sunglasses and hat protect you from harmful UV rays. Rain is common in some areas of Hawaii, so add a rain poncho. Toss in a day pack if you will be hiking, and a small first aid kit to handle any mishaps. Don’t forget your camera and plenty of film to catch those spectacular tropical sunsets.
